Avasori - Ruvoka of Athas

The Avasori are ruvoka from the Elemental Plane of Water. They travel the planes easily, but on Athas they are bound to certain locations. They often work with druids. It is said druids who reach 18th-level or higher can become an avasori. Avasori have their own language, but with other intelligent beings use a limited form of telepathy.
Avasori have blue or blue-green skin, webbed hands and feet, pointed ears, and white or black hair. When engaged in combat, the Avasori wear coral, leather (crafted from a sea creature), or no armor. They use long daggers or harpoons that are generally enhanced with elemental water magic.

Avasori are ruvoka from the Elemental Plane of Water. They serve the Elemental Lords of Water without question. They are unusual on the Elemental Plane of Water and extremely rare on Athas. They hate heat and dryness, so few places on Athas appeal to them.

Combat
Avasori attack with harpoons and long daggers made of bone and magically enhanced with elemental magic, granting the weapons a +2 bonus. The weapons of the Avasori must be submerged in clean water for ten minutes per day, or lose their magical properties.
Avasori cast spells as a twentieth level druid with major access to the sphere of water.

Habitat/ Society
Avasori do not have much of a society, outside of serving their Elemental Lords in defense of their elemental plane. They can very rarely be found on Athas, carrying out the wishes of a Lord of Water or protecting a location valuable to the Plane of Water.

Ecology
Avasori are water dwelling creatures and despise dryness. They were created by the Elemental Lords of Water with the assistance of the Elemental Lords of Air, Fire, and Earth. They breed with other Avasori and mature as humans, but with adulthood lasting five times longer.
