Session Eighty-Six: Rescue and Rest

After bring abandoned, Kalino, Raco, and Nyla fed into a group of unfinished tunnels and barricaded themselves behind some rubble. They hid there and tried to heal themselves, as best as they could. They could hear the firenewts pass them by, but they kept their heads down and hoped that someone else had survived.
Meanwhile, Alaxander's weeping was interrupted by Abbas' approach. Abbas saw Alaxander weeping and the poor state of Kiara and Shade. His face fell.
Alaxander told Abbas about the deaths they had recently faced. Abbas was saddened to hear about their losses, especially the death of Vashti. Abbas healed Shade, Alaxander, and Kiara a bit and then retreated, to mourn for Vashti.
A woman, who had been walking with Abbas, introduced herself to Alaxander, Shade, and Kiara. She was a druid named Dimitria. She healed Alaxander, Shade, and Kiara a bit more. Alaxander and Shade explain their quest to kill Kalak and Dimitria asked to accompany them.
She hated Kalak, as his templars killed her parents and banished her to the wilderness. If not for her former master, she would have died. The group saw the hatred she had for Kalak and accepted her.

Raco regained consciousness and was told what was going on. Raco used the way to send a mental messenger to Alaxadner. The messenger explained that he, Kalino, and Nyla were alive and hiding, in the volcano. Raco was able to send the message, but did not know if the message was received by Alaxander. Raco then rested, to regain his mental strength.
Back at the Lost Oasis, the half of the group there were resting. They had no way of contacting their abandoned companions. They enjoyed the soft grass and clean, fresh water. They napped in the shade of palm trees and ate some dates.
When Raco awoke from his nap, he used the way to mentally contact Alaxander. Alaxander refused the contact, not knowing who it was coming from. Raco then used the way to contact Lilith, but it failed, because Lilith was dead. So, he tried again, this time with Shade. He was able to contact Shade and communicate with him. He relayed their situation and made plans to meet up in a room, that they had previously fought in. He also told them that Lilith was dead.
Raco, Kalino, and Nyla left their hiding place and snuck to the room. They found a firenewt scout group there and got into a fight with them. During the fight, a dimensional gateway appeared in the room and Alaxander, Kiara, Shade, Shade's Jhakar, and Dimitria walked through it. They joined the fight and quickly defeated the firenewts. They could hear firenewt reinforcements coming toward them. Everyone fled the volcano complex, through the gateway, and appeared in the Lost Oasis area.
Raco, Kalino, and Nyla fell to the ground and laughed in relief. Abbas welcomed them and provided some food. He appeared crestfallen, but was trying to be cheerful. They knew they were safe and quickly fell asleep in the soft grasses.
