Session One Hundred Twenty Two: The Fight Must Go On

The group discussed the long wait and decided that they had been lied to. The problem was that none of them could swim. So, Rafiq used the way to make himself intangible and descended into the water below. He saw the undead woman standing on the bottom of the large cistern, and the sword was discarded nearby.
He became tangible and touched the sword. While holding his breath, he attempted to teleport back up to the platform, but failed to do so. The water pressure was something he had never experienced before and he was having trouble holding his breath.
The undead woman used the way to attack his mind, but Rafiq rebuked her. Rafiq attempted to teleport away again, but failed for a second time. The undead woman swam up to Rafiq and struck him with her jagged claws. Rafiq was hurt badly by the attack, but he finally was able to gather his will and teleport back to the platform above.
When he appeared, he dropped the sword and started coughing up water. Dimitria aided him in clearing his lungs. The dripping wet skeleton, which had been standing still for several hours, suddenly moved to attack. Clavis and Selia made short work of it. The undead woman climbed onto the platform and began attacking the group. She targeted Rafiq, but the other members of the group kept getting in her way. The undead woman was fierce in combat, with vicious claw attacks and her use of the way, but the group eventually defeated her.
She seemed pleased to have been defeated, which confused the group. At the start of the battle, the group was in bad shape. Now, they were barely able to stay standing. They had no choice, but to rest and heal.

Day 11, Week 2, Fifthover, Friend's Vengeance, 190th King's Age, Sun Descending

When they awoke, Dimitria used her healing magic to repair a good portion of the damage that had been inflicted upon them over the past few days. Ali was able to use the way to heal some damage, but not much.

Once that was done, the group began investigating the platform, the carved openings, and the fish inside the hollow columns. They had convinced themselves that there was some sort of puzzle to be solved. They did what they believed was needed to solve the puzzle and they turned out to be correct. There was a rumbling and the sound of water flowing faster and more intensely.
Then, the group noticed that a portion of the water was moving, rising up from the darkness below. The water formed itself into a staircase. The water continued to flow, but its shape had changed.
Selia tested it and it felt solid enough to walk on. The group descended the watery staircase. The staircase lead them into a cave system, with rocky pathways that lead through a vast body of water. The group was amazed at the amount of water, much most than the Lost Oasis.
They moved forward and were immediately beset upon by three strange creatures. They had the head, upper body, and forepaws of a lion, but instead of rear legs, the creatures has a fishes tail! The creatures fought fiercely, but the group was tactical in their attacks and drove the creatures back into the water.
Yusef and Clavis were beaten up badly and wanted to rest, but the rest of the group wanted to keep exploring. Yusef and Clavis stayed near the staircase, while the rest of the group chose a random path and followed it.
They came across a trapped floor, a path of ground that froze whomever stepped on it. Rafiq attempted to jump over it, but there was an invisible barrier that stopped him, and he slid down onto the frozen floor. Rafiq, Dimitria, Ali, and Selia decided to choose a different path to follow.
A short while later, a giant armored monster rose up from the depths to challenge the small group. It had huge claws and it's eyes were on long stocks, the group had never seen anything like it. Thinking quickly, Dimitria used the will to put the creature to sleep and it sank back down beneath the waves.
They continued exploring down the path and came upon a statue of a snake-looking creature with blue gemstones for eyes. However, unlike a real snake, this one had a flat body. They struggled to climb the statue, but eventually were able to, and they took the gemstones from the statue's eyes. Then, they continued down the path.
Suddenly, Rafiq fell through the path, the section of the path he had walked on had been an illusion. He could not swim. Dimitria was alert and grabbed a strap on Rafiq's armor. However, Rafiq felt something grab his leg. The pull on his leg was stronger than Dimitria and Rafiq was being pulled deeper into the depths of the water.
Thinking quickly, Rafiq used the way to make himself intangible. The thing holding his leg passed through him, as did Dimitria's hands. Dimitria fell on her backside. Rafiq floated out of the water and back onto the real, solid part of the walkway. He willed himself to become solid again.
Suddenly, a giant tentacled monster rose up from the depths and attacked the small group. The creature was like a silt horror, but in the water, so the group called it a water horror. The water horror lashed out with its tentacles, attacking everyone in the group.
Ali was quickly knocked unconscious by the monster. Rafiq picked up Ali and called for a retreat. They small group fled, but the beast followed. They ran down the walkway, but the beast easily kept up with them. Selia used her bow to great effect and Rafiq was using the way.
After sustaining heavy damage, Selia, Rafiq, and Dimitria were able to wound the creature bad enough that it decided to leave them alone. It swam away, leaving a trail of blue blood in the water.
