Brom Art Spotlight

Gerald Brom inspired Timothy Brown and Troy Denning, to create the Dark Sun setting, with his incredible artwork. I wanted to post some of my favorite Dark Sun paintings done by Brom. These paintings always help me get into the Dark Sun mood.

According to Troy Denning, in an interview with the Bone, Stone, and Obsidian Podcast, this painting was the first to inspire the Dark Sun setting.

Interview with Robert Adducci, founder of The Burnt World of Athas

I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Robert Adducci, the founder of The Burnt World of Athas. Robert is a well known figure among Dark Sun fandom. He, together with Wayne Chang, hosts a Dark Sun podcast, appropriately named Bone, Stone, and Obsidian and runs a Dark Sun game for his Patreon members.
The first question I had for Robert is perhaps the same I would have for any fan, "There are a lot of settings for D&D, what got you interested in the Dark Sun setting?"

James Albert Smith Jr (1968-2019)

James Albert Smith Jr was the mind behind the Dreams of Mythic Fantasy blog, which I read monthly. Unfortunately, he passed away on April 10, 2019. I didn't know him personally, but I enjoyed reading his OSR (Old School Roleplay) blog. Fifty short years is not long enough for this world.
James' obituary.
His family and the gaming community are asking for help to pay his funeral expenses, if you can, please skip your morning cup of joe, or afternoon soda, and toss a couple bucks their way.
