Kitsu

The Slave Tribes sourcebook mentions a bird-lizard called a kitzu being herded in Balic, but no stats are ever given for it. I will rectify the situation.

Domestic animal on Athas.
The Kitsu is a small bird-lizard with sand-colored scales, tooth-filled beaks, and feathered wings for gliding. Kitsu's are raised for their meat and eggs. The meat of a kitsu is highly prized.
Kitsus are mainly domesticated and are rarely seen in the wild. Although, it is possible to run across a small herd that has escaped from their pens. Undomesticated herds would likely take refuge in the canyons of the rocky badlands.

Stats after the jump.

The Kitsu is a small bird-lizard with sand-colored scales, tooth-filled beaks, and feathered wings for gliding.

Combat
Kitsu will only fight if cornered. They grab with the hands on their wings and then bite. They will continue to attack the same target, until that target has fallen.

Habitat/ Society
Kitsus are generally kept as domesticated fowl for consumption. If encountered in the wild, kitsus are more likely to run than fight. Female kitsus lay an egg every 1d2 days. An adult kitsu produces five pounds of delicious meat when butchered.

Ecology
Kitsu meat is considered very appetizing and their eggs only slightly less so. Kitsus in the wild do not claim territory and go wherever food is available.
