Nyla's unconscious body was teleported out of the room, by an unknown individual. Alaxander closed the dimension door and teleported back to a large room they had already explored. Julius attacked the dune reaper, who was blocking the group's exit, and unleashed the kinetic energy he had stored up. The dune reaper was sliced to ribbons.
Kalino picked up Kiara. He then rushed out of the hall and into a room. There, he discovered where Alaxander had teleported to. Julius dragged Shade out of the room.
Julius stood in the doorway and used his mastery of the way to make himself impervious to physical attacks. Kalino attacked the dune reaper, with his spear. He was positioned behind Julius and attacked over his shoulder. Alaxander used the way to attack from a distance. This proved to be a tactically advantageous and the dune reapers were defeated.
Julius, Alaxander, and Kalino carried Shade and Kiara back to the monastery. They asked the monks about Nyla and were told that she had been safely teleported away. She was in the infirmary, recovering.
With the exception if Julius and Alaxander, the group went to the infirmary and received the monks healing assistance. The monks refused to allow Fred, the skeleton, into the monastery. Julius stayed with Fred. Alaxander decided to stay in their room and recover on his own.
Day 21, Week 2, Macro, Friend's Vengeance, 190th King's Age, Sun Descending
The group rested and healed. Julius used bone carving to make a short sword. Nyla recovered and spoke with Nabil. Nabil regretted focusing so much on Nyla's training in the way, that he ignored the martial training she had received in the gladiatorial pits of Urik. Nyla blamed herself for neglecting her fighting skills.
Day 22, Week 2, Macro, Friend's Vengeance, 190th King's Age, Sun Descending
The group continued to rest and heal. Julius used bone carving, again, to carve a bone short sword. He gave both swords to Fred.
Day 23, Week 2, Macro, Friend's Vengeance, 190th King's Age, Sun Descending
The group felt that they were healed enough to return to the hidden rooms, but they had a solemn duty to attend to first. They took Vashti's body and took it to the monastery's garden. There, they buried it in the fertile soil.
Kalino said thank you to Vashti, for all she had done, and admitted that he would miss her. Alaxander, Shade, and Julius said that they would do all they could to complete the quest, so Vashti's death would not be in vain. Kiara said nothing, but remained respectfully quiet.
The group then returned to the hidden rooms, Nyla deciding to join them, and encountered a room, at the end of the wide hall, with four doors. One was plain wood, but the others were red, green, and blue. There was a riddle on the wall.
The colored doors were locked and Alaxander spent time peeking through each one. On the opposite sides of the doors were the two statues that had beat him up a few days earlier. Using a charcoal pencil, he discovered that the room was the same, no matter which door he peeked through. They would have to solve the riddle.
Julius opened the plain door and found a room with a magma floor. There were stepping stones on the floor that had balican numbers on them. There was a riddle near the door, that Julius quickly solved. He passed safely over the magma and retrieved three keys from a chest.
They keys were brass, but were painted red, green, and blue. Each one of the keys had writing on them, that corresponded to the riddle on the wall.
The group chatted over which door to use and which lock to use. They incorrectly thought that the red key went with the blue door. A wave a mental energy flowed from the door and harmed each of them. They then tried the blue key, with the blue door, and a wave of energy struck them again. Julius warned them that if they kept making mistakes, they would have to flee back to the monastery.
