Shade lead the group and discovered that the hallway was trapped. He disarmed a couple of them and failed to find a couple as well. He fell into the ten foot deep spiked pits, but the group was easily able to pull him out. Where the hallway met a room, he discovered a teleporter trap, but instructed everyone to avoid it.
The room they found themselves in had two agafari doors. One was blank and the other had a stone plaque, of an ogre's face.
The group decided to inspect the blank door first. There was a short hallway, with a hexagonal room. In the center of the room was a stone well. The well had a bucket and rope attached to it. On the side of the well was a riddle. The group was very confused and talked for a long time about what the riddle meant. They largely solved the riddle and made wishes, although they did not fully comprehend what they were doing.
They received some silk, a couple of gold coins, and, to their dismay, a swarm of mosquitoes. Once they figured out the riddle completely, they were out of wishes. Each person only received one wish. So, they returned to the monastery and recruited some of the monks to come assist them.
The monks wished for very practical things, except for one. A female monk, named Lilith, became enamored with Alaxander. She quietly wished for Alaxander's affection. Alaxadner failed to resist the well's magic and he suddenly had feelings for the monk. The rest of the group knew exactly what had happened and they thought it was funny.
Leaving the well room, the group gathered in front of the ogre plaque. It spoke a riddle out loud, each character hearing it in their native language. They quickly solved this riddle and entered a bedroom. The bedroom appeared as if it is had been untouched by time.
On the vellum was, of course, another riddle.
This riddle proved far more challenging, than the riddle on the door. While they were trying to figure out the riddle, Julius carried the mirror outside of the room. The copper turned green and the mirror became tarnished. He brought it back inside of the room and it appeared new again. The group then began carrying multiple objects to the outside of the room. All of the objects aged, once outside of the room, and then reverted to pristine, once back inside.
After thoroughly exploring the room, they finally solved the riddle and stepped through the mirror. The mirror lead them to another room, which was exactly the same as the previous room, only mirrored. The group then went back through the mirror and played with the mirrors a bit. They tried to move things from one room, to another, but were unable to do so.
Eventually the group stopped goofing off and went back to the mirrored room. They opened the door and it lead into a forest. A pathway lead away from the door, which appeared to be a doorway attached to nothing.
After a brisk ten minute walk, the group came upon a man inside a thorny cage. He spoke a riddle and the players asked him questions. Unfortunately the man could only speak the riddle, and nothing else. They tried to solve the riddle, which they did, but did not execute the correct physical tasks required.
Everyone hacked at the thorny cage with weapons, but the thorns grew back extremely quickly. Julius used the way to light the thorny cage on fire. The man inside was extremely afraid of the flame. Alaxander noticed the smoke, from the flames, were pooling in the sky.
In trying to solve the riddle, Alaxander had an idea. He rook an arrow from Shade and shot it, with the way, at the man. The arrow struck him and the man fell over, dead. The man's body morphed into a golden eagle. Unfortunately, he was still dead.
The group was disappointed and scolded Alaxander for not discussing his plan with them. Alaxander agreed, that the decision to shoot at the captive man was, "kind of dumb." The group continued down the path.
A few minutes later, two kirres attacked the group. They attacked from hiding and surprised most of them. The kirres managed to land a few blows on Kalino and Shade, but were no match for a group of seasoned adventurers. After their victory, the group continued down the path.
