Session Sevety-Nine: All Your Money Won't Another Minute Buy

The group continued down the path. Julius climbed a tree, to get a good vantage point. He saw forest stretching for miles. He climbed back down and informed the group that the forest stretched for miles. No one could believe that that many trees existed in one place.
The group briefly discussed if they should explore the forest, but decided to follow the path instead. Strangely and suddenly, the treeline broke. In front of them was a desert landscape. This made no sense. Julius had seen forest here only a few minutes earlier.
On the edge of a cliff was a twenty foot tall statue of a wild dog. There were strange symbols on the coyote, along with some script written in the ancient ogre language. The legible portion of the writing indicated that the rest of the script needed to be decoded, using a riddle to do so. The group solved the first riddle easily and translated the rest of the script.
The translated script was another riddle, which the group solved. This lead them to a secret door in the coyote's chest. There was a tunnel into the statue. The group marveled at the fact that the tunnel was too long it fit entirely inside the coyote statue, but it somehow did. They went inside and the door shut behind them.
The tunnel lead into a square room. As the group entered, there was a flash of light and every member of the group found themselves separated from the rest of the group. They all found themselves surrounded by skeletons.
The rooms they were in had no doorways out. Lilith had been in the hall, when the flash of light happened, and was nowhere to be found. Alaxander panicked at the loss of his dearest.
Battles began for each of them and they all noticed some of the skeletons acting oddly. Some of the skeletons did nothing and some of them fought fiercely. Some were weak and others were incredibly tough.
The group fought viciously, but they all fell, except for Alaxander. When Alaxander had defeated the last skeleton, the illusion faded and he was able to see that there had been no skeletons at all. They had actually been fighting each other. Lilith rushed into the room to hug Alaxander, who returned the embrace.
Alaxander had a healing potion fruit and used it to revive Kiara. Kiara began using her healing skills, and magic, to heal the others. Unfortunately, she did not have the magic needed to revive Julius, who was dead.
They figured out that is was Shade who had killed him. Shade was remorseful and apologized, but no one held it against him. The illusion had fooled them all.
Being pragmatic, the group decided to loot Julius' body. They were somewhat surprised that he had been hording a lot of money. They crafted a makeshift litter and took his body with him. Kalino dragged the litter behind him.
Now that the illusion had faded, the group could see a hallway leading away from the room. They followed it and it came to a large set of double doors. On the door were two stone plaques with ogre faces on them. When the doors were touched the faces spoke. They spoke a riddle that warned them of traps and death. Then, the doors opened, revealing a long, wide hallway.
Because of the riddle, the group knew the hallway was full of traps, but they had also been given perplexing instructions on how to avoid them. They took some time deciphering the riddle, but felt confident in their plan. They followed their plan and successfully avoided all the traps.
At the end of the hall was an empty pedestal. One each side of the pedestal was a hole, just big enough to put your hand into. The riddle, given to them previously, had enigmatically told them the correct hole to reach into. Shade braved the trap and chose the hole he believed was correct. He found a lever and pulled it. Part of the wall opened, revealing another hallway.
The hallway was short and lead to a door. Shade also discovered a hidden lock box, behind a loose stone in the wall. He removed the brick and tried to pick the lock, but failed. He then smashed the lock box open.
Inside was a piece of vellum. On the vellum was a map. The map had squares, circles, and letters in the ogre language. The group thought it was odd and did not know the area the map laid out.
Shade checked the door in front of them for traps and found none. He opened the door and found a large room with many round pillars and square stone tiles on the ground. He held up the vellum map and could see that it matched the room beyond. Now, they only had to figure out what the letters meant.
