Air Turkey

Air turkeys are native to the Elemental Plane of Air. They sometimes find themselves on Athas, due to natural or artificial portals. It is possible to summon air turkeys, but most spellcasters powerful enough to do so rarely bother.
Air turkeys are excellent fliers with a maneuverability score of B. They nest in tell trees, or on mountain peaks.
Air turkeys have excellent eyesight and reduce, by 5%, a character's chance of hiding in shadows and are only surprised on a roll of 1 or 2.

Combat
Unlike many other types of turkey, air turkeys do not flee from combat, they fiercely glide into it. The air turkey can use their serrated beak to attack, which inflicts 1d6 points of damage, but they prefer to use their spells and breath weapon first. An air turkey can breath a whirlwind, which extends out to twenty feet. This breath weapon causes 2d6+2 points of damage, save vs breath weapon for half damage, and may be used every 1d12 rounds. A failed save forces flying creatures to land and land based creatures to fall down.
In addition, air turkeys have access to the following spells once per day: Air Lens, Channel Stench, Coat of Mist, and Steal Breath.

Habitat/Society
Air turkeys seek the attention of females in sun ascending by wooing them with a special courtship dance. During this dance, male air turkeys fly in intricate displays in an effort to win a female. After mating, the females seek out a good nesting spot. Air turkeys lay their eggs in nests high in trees or on mountain peaks. The female air turkey lays an egg each day in her nest for up to 11 days. The eggs take about 28 days to hatch. Baby air turkeys are helpless for six months.
Air turkeys cannot breed with any other type of turkey.

Ecology
Air turkey meat is white, it tastes light and delicate. An air turkey provides six pounds of meat and one bound of marketable feathers.
