Session One Hundred Twenty One: Evil Will Always Win, Because Good is Dumb

Dimitria called upon the spirit of Athas to lend her its strength. The spirit answered and Dimitria became much stronger than a normal human woman. She was ready for the skeleton to return, but to her surprise, it just stood at the edge of the light.
The group soon realized that the skeleton had been waiting for backup. As soon as more skeletons arrived, they moved in to attack. The group engaged them in combat and destroyed all but one. The last one showed a small amount of intelligence and fled into the darkness.
The group collapsed and resumed their rest. During their rest, while Clavis was keeping watch, a strange creature hoped slowly toward Clavis. The creature was small, with a large head, long rear legs, and a thin tail. It had wet blue-green skin. Clavis walked to it to investigate. He startled the creature and it spit on Clavis. The spit burned, so Clavis stomped the small creature and killed it.
When everyone awoke, Dimitria prayed to her Spirit of the Land and then used her healing magics to heal her badly wounded friends. They were grateful for the healing, but no one was fully recovered. Ali used the way to heal himself and Dimitria further, but then had to meditate to regain some mental strength. Clavis and Yusef went back to sleep, while Ali meditated.

While everyone else was busy, Rafiq told Dimitria that he knew her family and a little about her past. He told her that their fathers had wanted them to marry, but Rafiq's father had planned to kill Dimitria's father. This was so Rafiq and Dimitria would inherit her families land in Balic. This way, Rafiq's father would have some political influence in both Tyr and Balic.
Dimitria was appalled. After giving her all of that information, Rafiq then took a nap himself. Dimitria was left alone, with her thoughts.
Once everyone was awake, they started making plans about what to do next. Dimitria, almost casually, mentioned that Rafiq's father wanted to kill her father. Everyone was silent for a moment, before Yusef told her that's what nobles do. He added that all nobles are selfish jerks, just looking to make a few silver from the blood of others.
Dimitria defended her own father and said that he was good. Yusef laughed. He then explained that there's no such thing as a good noble. He pointed and Rafiq and Ali and said they were only helping on this quest, because they wanted to be chosen by Dimitria. Dimitria protested and Yusef said she refused to admit that nobles were evil, because she's still a stuck up noble herself. He further chastised her, stating that she looks down on Clavis and himself, because they weren't born with a silver spoon in their mouth and a dozen slaves to do their bidding.
Dimitria was taken aback by Yusef's harsh words and stammered. Selia saw this as an opportunity to calm down things down and injected herself into the argument. She explained that this argument wasn't going to kill Kalak and they should just keep going. Dimitria quickly agreed and everyone else did as well. Yusef and Dimitria's attritudes toward each other remained cold.
They discovered more platforms, including one that looked like a place to teach, or lecture, others. There was another small pool; when drinking from it, it restored mental energy. However, a person drinking from it could only benefit from drinking it once.
After a few hours, they arrived at a very large platform. This platform at large irregular holes carved into it. They also found columns with water and fish in them. They has seen fish before at The Lost Oasis.
Suddenly, they came upon a woman who was obviously dead. It looked as if she had drowned, but she was standing and watching the group. She was obviously undead. A dripping wet skeleton stood beside her. The group had their weapons drawn, but neither undead moved to attack them.
Then, the undead woman spoke in Tyrian. She said she was the guardian of this place and she was the one who had sent her undead minions to kill them, or drive them away. Seeing as they were too formidable for her, she asked them why they were invading her territory.
Dimitria explained that they were there to bring a special sword to the Blue Shrine. The undead women told them that the Blue Shine was beneath them, in the water. All they had to do to reach it was jump into the water and swim down about twenty feet. The group exchanged worried glances, because none of them could swim.
Dimirtia then asked in the undead woman could take it to the shine for them and the undead agreed to do so. They handed over the sword and the undead woman took it. She then jumped into the water and disappeared. The group waited for her return, the wet skeleton standing motionless near them. The group started to suspect something was wrong after four hours passed and the woman did not return.
